Best post wedding ceremony locations in West Cornwall

So you have had your gorgeous wedding ceremony at Boho Cornwall, all the shots in the house and grounds are finished. Whats next ? Where are you going to go next to experience the stunning beauty of Cornwall, lets face it thats why you’ve driven hundreds of miles to get hitched at the back end of nowhere.

Boho Cornwall is situated close to some of the best beaches and coastline not just in Cornwall but I would say in the world.

Cape Cornwall - Ancient rocky fishing cove

5 mins in the car, easy parking, Good quality paths but steep in places. A dramatic rocky location where two huge bodies of water meet. Over looked by the Iconic Heinz memorial chimney stack and the treacherous Brisoms a mile or so off shore. The small exposed fishing cove know as Priest’s Cove has small working fishing boats that are on often resting on the slip. Ramshackled fisherman’s huts and old mine workings. over looked by large granite cliffs and the Cape itself, one of only two in the UK.

Sennen - Atlantic surf beach and dunes

10 mins in the car, easy parking and access, car park space can be difficult in high season. Long rolling sandy beach, great surf, lots of space, and beautiful dunes, sandy beach paths and fences. I was lucky enough to grow up playing on this beach, Ive surfed and fished this here for 30 years. I am even more lucky to regularly bring my own girls her to share my love of this stunning slice of Cornish paradise with them. As well as the amazing beach there is a small working fishing harbour with a stunning breakwater and the home of the RNLI lifeboat City of London III. Lots of cute fisherman’s cottages over looked by the high cliffs of Ped Men Du. A real favourite location for me and my Boho Cornwall couples.

Porthcurno - Crushed shell sand turquoise sea and dramatic cliff backdrop

15 mins by car, very sheltered from prevailing winds, In my opinion the most stunning beach in he UK. Know for the Minack Theatre, Logans rock and the rippled sand and low tide lagoons of Pedn Vounder beach. Often littered with small white clam shells and a home to giant Basking sharks and dolphins at the correct time of year. (early Summer for the sharks) this is one of the UK’s most south westerly beaches a couple of miles shy of Lands End. Bucket and spade loads of show stopping photo opportunities as this magical location.

Botallack - Unesco world heritage tin mines and stunning cliffs, home of Poldark

5 mins from Boho Cornwall by car, easy parking, uneven paths if you want to get right down to the good bits. A Unesco World Heritage Site because of it’s tin mining heritage. Botallack is all about tin mines, cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean. Probably the most dramatic view in Cornwall. No surprisesthat it is the one of the main filming locations for Poldark. In spring the cliffs are a carpet of Gorse, Bluebells and other wild flowers, in autumn the brightens gives way to more subdued earthy tones. Although it can be breezy on the exposed north facing cliffs it is a top spot for capturing winter storms. Sensible foot wear is a good idea here and a nice warm throw if your wedding is in the cooler months.
